I designed and built this property with vacationing families in mind. Im a Builder by trade, here in the Hamptons, now retired; I will host the facility for you, with my wife, providing swimming, sailing and surf kayaking instructions free if you like. We will work together to maximize your exposure and experience in the Hamptons --so you will return again! The Estate could become your home away from home in the Hamptons, including the cottage next door, your own mooring in the bay, with two sailboats on the beach ready to go! The location is within easy reach of both the south fork and north fork of Long Island , the wineries, the museums, the antique shops, and of course the City (New York). Your family can easily travel into the City on the LIRR (train) from town; attend one of the Broadway Musicals or anything else. Ill help guide you! We also have a place in the City. My wife manages a local alternative medical center and is all about good eating, good food and good health. She will help you shop at our local Organic Heath Food Supermarket and help you learn the best places to eat out. We are prepared to accommodate all your needs. Come and see!.

The craftsman style interior is clad in our best Appalachian hardwood lumbers, cherry, ash, walnut, oak, figured maple etc. I hand-made all 37 doors, adding stain glass and marquetry where I could. I also built much of the furniture, all the interior cabinetry of course, and the clocks! Im especially fond of T.Js Tall Clocks. I am after all a master furniture maker, with the shop next door. The indoor pool house is a work of art too, like a museum, comfortable and private and all yours all year long. The outdoor amenities are also perfect for family entertainment, political events, whatever. We live here because we love the quiet private suburban setting, the Ocean, the Bay, the fishing and clamming and surfing. I was born and raised on Long Island and live both in the Hamptons and in the City, the best of both worlds. Come share it with us. Let us show you around. The house is large with five bedrooms and 5.5 baths with room for extra beds downstairs and next door but only as good as the environment and culture surrounding you. You will want a car of course, rental or otherwise, depending on your length of stay. Stay all summer, stay all year! We can help you build the experience together.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

Im an avid kayak surfer. I surf all year round, hurricane weather included. Im also a fisherman, still connected to our famous shellfishery on the south shore, with the gear. Naturally the pool helps keep us in shape. We are connected to the environment and the local culture in other interesting ways too, historically, politically, as a builder, as active citizens. If you needed a guide to introduce you to this community we can play that role. If you wanted to start kayak surfing...bring the suits!
