RETREAT TO AN ORGANIC FARM ON THE EDGE OF THE WILD
Located in the middle of a ten-acre grove of orange and olive trees, our spacious home is set at the foot of the Topa Topa mountains, home to the Sespe Wilderness Area: close to everything Ojai has to offer and, yet, set apart, neighboring the world of bobcats and condors.
At night, enjoy clear views of the Milky Way, while sitting on the balcony or luxuriating in the Jacuzzi. During the day, explore the area by hiking, biking or horse-back riding or enjoy Ojais many pleasures, from wine tasting to tennis to its indulgent spas or, better yet, hang out by the pool and do nothing.
Youll also reap the benefits of living on an organic farm. In the mornings, for instance, we encourage you to make yourself orange juice with our extra-ripe organic oranges picked straight from the tree. (We vouch it will be the best youve ever tasted.)
The olives we grow are used to make award-winning extra-virgin olive oil for Ojai Olive Oil, a family-run business. The olive barn, where the olives are pressed (in a press my father brought over from Italy), is a 5-minute drive or a lovely 20-minute walk away. Well leave you some olive oil to taste in the kitchen and you are also welcome to join one of the tours of the barn if youd like to learn more.
The large farm house can comfortably accommodate groups up to twelve. Upstairs is a master suite with marble floors, balconies on both sides with spectacular views and a private bathroom with a large Jacuzzi tub. Adjoining is an impressive living room with large picture windows, a comfortable seating area, a pool table, and library.
There is an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, a BBQ, several outdoor lounging areas, two comfortable living rooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining room and two libraries from which you are welcome to borrow books. The house has Wi-Fi and cable - were working on a movie room where youll be able to project films in your own personal theater.
The house is family-friendly: there is a sandbox in front, shaded by avocado trees, where children love to play and watch little lizards and hummingbirds. Toys, a high chair and a Pack n Play are available upon request.
